Year 3/4 SEN Teaching Assistant – Brixton Primary School – Immediate Start 
Pertemps Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Brixton to recruit a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils in Year 3 and Year 4 within the school’s Additional Resource Provision (ARP). 
 
This full-time role is available for an immediate start and offers a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, and sensory processing challenges. 
 
Location: Brixton 
Start Date: September 
Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Only 
Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience) 
 
About the Role: 

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils in Year 3/4 within a specialist ARP setting 
  • Support pupils in accessing a tailored curriculum focused on communication, emotional regulation, and life skills 
  • Implement strategies to promote engagement, independence, and positive behaviour 
  • Work collaboratively with class teachers, the SENCO, and multi-agency professionals 
  • Assist with routine classroom tasks, transitions, and any necessary personal care 
  • Support assessment and contribute to learning plans and review meetings 

 
The Ideal Candidate Will: 

  • Have experience supporting pupils with SEN, particularly in Key Stage 2 
  • Be confident working with children with autism, social communication needs, and sensory differences 
  • Be calm, resilient, and nurturing in their approach to supporting pupils with additional needs 
  • Demonstrate excellent teamwork and communication skills 
  • Be passionate about inclusive education and promoting pupil wellbeing 
  • Have experience in or a strong interest in working in a specialist or ARP provision
