Year 2 Teacher – Barnet – Immediate Start 
We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and qualified Year 2 Teacher to join a rapidly improving school in Barnet. Under the strong and ambitious leadership of the headteacher, the school has made significant strides in recent years, reflected in its good rating in the most recent Ofsted report. The school fosters an inclusive, child-centred approach and is known for its supportive team culture, providing a positive environment that encourages curiosity, resilience, and academic growth. 
 
Pay: £170.00-£250.00 per day 
Location: Barnet 
Start date: November 
Interview date: ASAP 
 
Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Year 2 curriculum, emphasising literacy, numeracy, and core skills development. 
  • Create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that promotes active participation and a love for learning. 
  • Utilise teaching strategies that cater to a range of learning styles, ensuring accessibility for all students. 
  • Monitor and assess student progress through regular formative and summative assessments, providing targeted feedback. 
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to create a cohesive educational experience for each child. 
  • Participate in school events, meetings, and ongoing professional development to stay informed about best teaching practices and curriculum updates. 

 
Qualifications/Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field. 
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification. 
  • Previous experience teaching Year 2 or Year 3 is essential. 
  • Strong classroom management skills to maintain a structured and engaging learning environment. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building positive relationships with students, parents, and staff. 
  • A commitment to helping young learners succeed and thrive.
