We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech and Language Teaching Assistant to join our team from September 2025. This full-time position is ideal for someone with experience or training in supporting pupils with speech and language difficulties within a school or early years environment.

🌟 About the Role:

• Work closely with pupils identified as having speech, language, or communication needs
• Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions under the guidance of a Speech and Language Therapist or SENCo
• Support classroom learning and ensure access to the curriculum for all pupils
• Assist with observations, tracking progress, and feeding back to staff and parents
• Contribute to creating a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment

✅ What We’re Looking For:

• Experience working with children with speech and language needs (in school or other settings)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A calm, patient and nurturing approach
• Ability to follow and implement personalised support plans
• Relevant qualifications (e.g. Teaching Assistant Level 2/3, or training in SALT desirable)

🎓 Ideal Candidates May Have:

• A background in education, child development, or speech therapy
• Knowledge of PECS, Makaton or similar communication systems (desirable)
• A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
