SENDCo Admin Assistant 

About the Role
The School Office Team plays a key role in maintaining the smooth and efficient operation of the school. The SENDCo Admin Assistant will provide high-quality administrative, organisational and clerical support, particularly relating to SEND provision.
Working closely with the Head of Inclusion and the Learning Support Team, the successful candidate will support SEND processes, including record keeping, communication with parents and professionals, and compliance with statutory requirements.
This role is essential in ensuring that students with SEND receive excellent support, while also helping the school meet its obligations under the SEND Code of Practice. Responsibilities may evolve over time in line with school priorities, offering opportunities to broaden skills and experience.
Key Responsibilities

  • Providing professional administrative support across the school
  • Maintaining accurate records and databases in line with GDPR
  • Supporting the Head of Inclusion with SEND administration, including Annual Reviews, EHCP documentation and statutory returns
  • Liaising with parents, carers, local authorities and external professionals
  • Assisting with the organisation of SEND meetings and review processes
  • Working flexibly across all school campuses to provide consistent administrative cover

Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail and a calm, professional approach. They will enjoy a varied role where collaboration, efficiency and empathy make a real difference.

Essential Criteria:

  • Previous experience in a school office or educational administration role
  • Strong organisational and IT skills, including confident use of databases and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a busy environment
  • A commitment to inclusive practice and alignment with the school’s ethos

About you:

  • Experience working within a school environment
  • Must have experience using SIMS, Arbor, BROMCOM or similar
  • A valid DBS on the DBS update service
  • Experience of monitoring and logging attendance
