SEN Teaching Assistant – PMLD School (North Kent) Location: North Kent
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term
Pay Rate: £90 – £110 per day (depending on experience)
About the Role: We are recruiting for a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist PMLD school in North Kent. You’ll be part of a collaborative team supporting children with complex learning and physical needs in a caring, structured environment.
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with profound learning needs.
• Support personal care, feeding, and mobility as required.
• Help implement EHCP targets and therapy plans.
• Encourage communication and sensory engagement.
• Work closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure consistent care.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with PMLD or complex SEN.
• Nurturing and patient personality.
• Confident supporting with personal and physical care.
• Knowledge of Makaton, PECs, or sensory integration (desirable).
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
