SEN Teaching Assistant – PMLD School (Greenwich) Location: Greenwich, South East London

Pay Rate: £90 – £110 per day (depending on experience)
About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties) school in Greenwich. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with complex learning and physical needs, helping them access education in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with PMLD.
- Assist with personal care, mobility, and physical support where required.
- Implement individual education and therapy plans under the guidance of class teachers and therapists.
- Support pupils with sensory activities and communication development.
- Help create a safe, positive, and engaging learning atmosphere.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure each child receives tailored support.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people with PMLD, SLD, or complex SEN needs (essential).
- A patient, caring, and proactive approach to supporting learning.
- Ability to use communication aids (such as PECS or Makaton) is desirable.
- Willingness to assist with personal care and physical support tasks.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
