Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (PMLD & SEMH)
Location: Croydon
Start: ASAP / Ongoing
Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience) – Between £100 to £120 per day
The Role:
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with PMLD and SEMH needs within a specialist or alternative provision setting. You will work closely with teachers and therapists to deliver personalised support, promote engagement, and manage behaviour positively.
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with complex needs
• Assist with personal care, sensory activities, and learning programmes
• Implement behaviour support strategies and de-escalation techniques
• Support communication using AAC/PECS where appropriate
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to EHCP outcomes

Requirements:

• Proven experience with PMLD and SEMH
• Calm, resilient, and nurturing approach
• Strong behaviour management skills
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
• Relevant SEN training (desirable)
