SEN Teaching Assistant – Autism Provision (Year 2/3)

We are seeking a proactive and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils within a specialist Autism Provision in a primary setting.
This role will involve working with children in Year 2/3, providing tailored support to help them access learning, develop social and communication skills, and achieve positive outcomes both academically and personally.
The Role

• Support pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and additional needs.
• Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions.
• Implement personalised learning and behaviour strategies.
• Promote independence, engagement, and emotional regulation.
• Work closely with teaching staff and SEND professionals to support pupil progress.
• Create a structured, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience supporting children with autism and high-needs SEN.
• Strong behaviour management skills.
• Proactive, patient, and resilient approach.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Passion for supporting children with additional needs.

Ideal Candidate You will have experience working within SEN settings and be confident supporting pupils with complex needs. A positive attitude and the ability to adapt to individual learning styles are essential.
