SEN Teaching Assistant – Merton Location: Merton, South West London

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Salary: £102.79 – £115 per day, depending on experience

Pertemps Education are recruiting on behalf of a SEN School in Merton who are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join their welcoming and inclusive school. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support students with a range of special educational needs, including Autism (ASD), ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN.
• Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
• Support students in accessing the curriculum and developing social and emotional skills.
• Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and other professionals to deliver tailored learning and care.
• Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.

About You:

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (school, youth work, or care background welcomed).
• Understanding of Autism, ADHD, or other learning differences.
• Patient, empathetic, and proactive with strong communication skills.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Available full-time and ready to make a difference.
