SEN Teaching Assistant – Kingston Upon Thames Specialist Provision – September 2025 Start 
Pertemps Education are pleased to be supporting one of our fantastic specialist provisions in their current search for a SEN Teaching Assistant, based in Kingston Upon Thames, starting in September 2025.

Location: Kingston Upon Thames 
Start Date: September 2025 
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm 
Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience) 
 
About the Role: 

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN) including autism, speech and language needs, ADHD, and complex learning difficulties 
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a well-resourced specialist provision 
  • Support learning through tailored strategies and structured routines, promoting independence and progress 
  • Assist with personal care and emotional regulation as required 
  • Work closely with SENCOs, therapists, and teaching staff to deliver individual education plans (IEPs) 
  • Monitor and record progress, supporting the overall wellbeing and development of pupils 

 
The Ideal Candidate Will: 

  • Have previous experience working with children or young people with SEN, either in a school or care setting 
  • Be patient, empathetic, and passionate about making a positive impact in pupils’ lives 
  • Be confident supporting children with high levels of need, including sensory or behavioural challenges 
  • Be a strong team player with excellent communication and organisational skills 
  • Be willing to support with personal care and physical needs 
  • Hold a valid enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one)
