SEN Teacher (ASD Specialist) – Brixton Primary School – September 2025 Start 
Pertemps Education is working in partnership with a primary school in Brixton to recruit a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teacher for a September 2025 start. 
 
This is a specialist role working with pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), supporting their academic, emotional, and social development in a nurturing environment. The school is well-resourced, with a strong SEN team and a focus on personalised learning. Early Career Teachers (ECTs) with a passion for SEN are encouraged to apply. 
 
Location: Brixton 
Start Date: September 2025 
Contract: Full-Time 
Salary: MPS + SEN Allowance (dependent on experience) 
 
About the Role: 

  • Deliver tailored teaching to children with ASD within a specialist SEN setting or mainstream class with additional support 
  • Develop individualised learning plans that meet both academic and developmental needs 
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and the SENCO to ensure a consistent and supportive approach 
  • Use strategies such as visual timetables, sensory supports, and communication tools to promote engagement 
  • Build positive relationships with pupils and parents to support progress and wellbeing 
  • Monitor pupil progress and contribute to EHCP reviews, reports, and assessments 

 
The Ideal Candidate Will: 

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) 
  • Have experience or a strong interest in teaching children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) 
  • Be knowledgeable about ASD teaching strategies, including communication and sensory regulation techniques 
  • Be patient, reflective, and committed to inclusive education 
  • Be confident working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team 
  • ECTs with a passion for SEN and ASD are welcome to apply
