Are you a committed and adaptable Science Teacher looking to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people outside of mainstream education?
We are working with a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Croydon who are seeking a skilled and resilient teacher of Science to join their team.
The Role:
- Deliver creative and engaging KS3–KS4 Science lessons to small groups of students.
- Adapt teaching methods to support pupils with SEMH, behavioural challenges and additional learning needs.
- Build strong relationships to inspire, motivate and re-engage learners in their education.
- Collaborate with pastoral staff and other teachers to support holistic development and positive outcomes.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching in a PRU, alternative provision or mainstream setting with challenging behaviour.
- Strong behaviour management strategies and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- A positive, empathetic and resilient approach, with a genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable young people.
