Role Overview:
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Science graduate to join a supportive secondary school in Brent as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for Science and education, looking to gain experience in the classroom before progressing to teacher training. You will support students’ learning in Science subjects, assist teachers in lesson planning, and contribute to a stimulating learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging Science lessons.
• Provide targeted support to students in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
• Help prepare practical experiments and learning resources.
• Support students in developing scientific inquiry skills and confidence in their abilities.
• Contribute to tracking student progress and providing feedback.
• Maintain a safe and engaging classroom environment.
• Participate in extracurricular Science activities and school events.

Essential Requirements:

• A recent graduate with a degree in a Science-related subject.
• A passion for education and a desire to train as a Science teacher.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and support students.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• A proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning and teaching.
• Experience working with young people, either in a voluntary or paid capacity, is desirable.
