School Premises Manager

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Premises Manager to join a welcoming school in Waltham Forest. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong facilities management skills and a hands-on approach to maintaining a safe, secure, and well-presented learning environment.

The Role As Premises Manager, you will play a key role in the smooth running of the school. You will oversee day-to-day site management, liaise with contractors, and ensure the school environment is safe, secure, and welcoming for pupils, staff, and visitors.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Acting as a keyholder, ensuring the premises are opened and secured each day
• Supervising and coordinating contractors and the facilities team
• Carrying out routine maintenance and minor repairs
• Ensuring heating, lighting, and alarm systems are operational
• Maintaining health and safety standards across the site
• Monitoring site security and cleanliness
• Managing stock levels and ordering equipment as required

About You We are looking for a reliable and self-motivated individual with:

• Previous experience in a similar caretaker or premises management role (school experience preferred)
• Strong knowledge of site maintenance, security, and health & safety practices
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• A valid Enhanced DBS check registered with the Update Service
• Immediate availability to interview and start
