Primary Teacher (QTS) – SEMH School Tooting, South West London
Full-Time | September Start | Permanent/Long-Term

Pertemps Education are working in partnership with a specialist SEMH school in Tooting to recruit a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Primary Teacher (QTS) for a September start.

The successful candidate will play a key role in creating a positive, structured learning environment where every child is supported to reach their full potential.
The Role

  • Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons across the primary curriculum.
  • Differentiate learning to meet the individual needs of pupils with SEMH needs and additional learning barriers.
  • Build strong, positive relationships that encourage engagement and confidence.
  • Create a safe, nurturing and well-managed classroom environment.
  • Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists and the wider school team.
  • Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching to maximise outcomes.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Has experience teaching within a primary school setting.
  • Previous experience working in SEMH, SEND, PRU or alternative provision is desirable, although experienced mainstream teachers with excellent behaviour management are encouraged to apply.
  • Is patient, resilient and passionate about supporting vulnerable children.
  • Has excellent communication skills and a flexible, proactive approach.
