Position: Primary School 1:1 Learning Support Assistant
Location: Watford
Salary: Up to £15 an hour (depending on experience)
Start date: ASAP

A wonderful school in Watford is looking to bring in a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant for the upcoming Academic Year. The position will be involve helping and supporting children with learning difficulties. The hours of the role will be 8:30-13:00 Monday-Friday. The successful candidate will work alongside teachers to support students in their learning and development.
Responsibilities:

• Assisting teachers in delivering lessons and supporting students in their learning
• Working with small groups of students or individual students to provide additional help and support
• Supervising students during lessons, lunchtimes, and outdoor play
• Helping to prepare and organize classroom materials and resources
• Supporting students with special educational needs or disabilities as necessary
• Collaborating with teachers to create a positive and nurturing learning environment
• Communicating regularly with parents and carers about student progress and behavior

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children in a school or educational setting
• A genuine passion for working with children and helping them to reach their full potential
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• A patient and caring attitude towards children of all abilities
• A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in supporting teaching and learning (desirable)
