Premise Officer

Premises Manager – Watford School – Immediate Start (Permanent Role) 
Pertemps Education is working in partnership with a well-regarded school in Watford to recruit a proactive and reliable Premises Manager for an immediate start.  
This is a permanent, full-time position, ideal for someone with strong site management experience and a hands-on approach to maintaining a safe and efficient school environment. 
 
Location: Watford 
Start Date: Immediate 
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent 
Salary: £26,409 – £28,624 per annum (dependent on experience) 
 
About the Role: 

• Oversee the day-to-day maintenance, security, and safety of the school site, buildings, and grounds 

• Ensure all facilities and services meet health and safety standards and legal requirements 

• Carry out general repairs, minor plumbing, painting, and maintenance as needed 

• Liaise with external contractors and manage on-site work to ensure compliance with standards 

• Monitor and manage heating, lighting, and alarm systems 

• Carry out regular site inspections and risk assessments 

• Support with setting up rooms for school events and lettings 

• Open and close the school premises and act as a key holder 

• Work collaboratively with the leadership and administrative teams to maintain high site standards 

 
The Ideal Candidate Will: 

• Have previous experience working as a Premises Manager or Site Supervisor, ideally in a school or similar setting 

• Possess a sound understanding of health and safety legislation and site compliance 

• Be proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently 

• Be hands-on with practical maintenance and basic repair skills 

• Demonstrate strong communication and problem-solving abilities 

• Be willing to undertake relevant training, including safeguarding and first aid 

• Be flexible and reliable, with a commitment to supporting the school community
