Are you a recent graduate looking to build a career supporting children with special educational needs? Pertemps Education is seeking a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a warm, inclusive SEN school in Lambeth that caters for pupils with autism (ASD), learning difficulties, and complex needs.
The Role:
- Support pupils across the school on a 1:1 or small group basis, helping them to access learning and develop essential life skills.
- Assist the class teacher and therapy team in delivering tailored learning activities suited to individual needs.
- Encourage social interaction, independence, and emotional regulation through structured routines and positive reinforcement.
- Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals to provide holistic support for each pupil.
- Contribute to a safe, engaging and nurturing environment where every child can thrive.
The Ideal Candidate:
- A graduate in Psychology, Education, Sociology, Sports Science, or a related subject.
- Passionate about supporting children and young people with SEN.
- Patient, resilient, and adaptable to meet the diverse needs of learners.
- Previous experience in schools, care, youth work, or SEN settings is beneficial but not essential — training will be provided.
