Pertemps Education is delighted to be working once again with a specialist school for the Deaf in North London, supporting their search for an adaptable and engaging English Teacher to join their team on a part-time basis from September 2025.

This is a rewarding opportunity to teach in a nurturing and inclusive environment where communication support is provided, and small class sizes allow for meaningful teaching and strong student relationships.

Location: Haringey
Start Date: Week commencing 1st September 2025
Contract Type: Part-Time (Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays)
Salary: M1 – M6 (Dependent on Experience) 

About the Role:

• Deliver English lessons to small groups of Deaf students with the support of in-class communication assistants
• Plan and adapt lessons to meet a wide range of learning needs, with many pupils working below age-related expectations
• Provide visual and accessible resources to support learners’ understanding
• Teach additional general cover lessons (including humanities) during timetable gaps
• Work collaboratively with specialist staff and participate in whole-school activities

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Be an excellent communicator with clear spoken English
• Demonstrate flexibility and the ability to differentiate effectively for a range of needs
• Be confident teaching SEN pupils, with or without previous experience of Entry Level/Functional Skills accreditations
• Bring a friendly, engaging teaching style that builds rapport and encourages participation
• Show willingness to be part of a close-knit and collaborative team
