are proud to be working in partnership with a well-established SEMH Secondary School in West Drayton to recruit a dedicated and compassionate Nurture Teacher for a September start.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher who is passionate about supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping students overcome barriers to learning by creating a nurturing, structured and supportive classroom environment where they can thrive both academically and emotionally.

The Role

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to secondary-aged students with SEMH needs.
  • Foster positive relationships that promote confidence, resilience and emotional wellbeing.
  • Create a calm, nurturing classroom environment that supports students’ individual needs.
  • Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists and the wider pastoral team.
  • Implement behaviour strategies and personalised learning approaches to maximise student engagement and progress.
  • Monitor student progress and contribute to individual support plans.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching students with SEMH needs, either within a specialist setting or alternative provision.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Patient, resilient and passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable young people.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
