Nursery Teaching Assistant – Brixton Primary School – September  
Pertemps Education are pleased to be supporting one of our fantastic schools in their current search for a Nursery Teaching Assistant, based in Brixton, to begin in September 2025.

Location: Brixton 
Start Date: September 2025 
Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Only 
Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience) 
 
About the Role: 

  • Support Nursery-aged pupils, with a particular focus on those with special educational needs (SEN) 
  • Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to help children access the Early Years curriculum 
  • Assist with the development of communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation 
  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and therapists to implement individual support strategies 
  • Monitor pupil progress and contribute to review meetings and planning 
  • Foster a nurturing, structured environment that enables all children to feel safe and supported 

 
The Ideal Candidate Will: 

  • Have experience working with young children, ideally within Early Years or Nursery settings 
  • Be confident supporting pupils with SEN, including speech and language delays, autism, and developmental needs 
  • Be patient, empathetic, and passionate about helping children reach their potential 
  • Work effectively within a team and follow professional guidance from school staff and specialists 
  • Be reliable, proactive, and committed to creating an inclusive learning environment 
  • Have a strong interest in pursuing a career in education, teaching, or child development
