Are you a passionate and resilient Learning Support Assistant looking to make a difference in the lives of young people? We’re currently seeking an experienced LSA to join a supportive school in the Croydon area, providing dedicated support to students with additional behavioural and emotional needs.
Key Responsibilities:

• Support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs to engage positively in learning.
• Implement behaviour management strategies to promote a calm and productive learning environment.
• Work 1:1 and in small groups to deliver tailored interventions.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs and other support staff to ensure each student’s progress and wellbeing.
• Foster positive relationships with pupils to encourage confidence, independence and resilience.

Requirements:

• Previous experience supporting students with behavioural or SEMH needs (essential).
• Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.
• A calm, empathetic and proactive approach to supporting young people.
• Ability to build trust and motivate students to achieve their potential.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
