Learning Support Assistant – Secondary School (Wembley, Brent)
Location: Wembley, London Borough of Brent
Job Type: Full-time (Term-time only)
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £545 per week
Are you passionate about supporting young people to achieve their full potential? Do you have a genuine interest in education and making a difference in the classroom? We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a vibrant secondary school in Wembley, Brent.
The Role As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and the SENCO to support students with a range of learning needs. You will play a vital role in helping students access the curriculum, build confidence, and develop key skills.
Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with additional learning needs
  • Assist in the delivery of tailored learning strategies and interventions
  • Support students with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH needs
  • Help manage behaviour positively and encourage student engagement
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to monitor progress and attainment
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience working with children or young people (school-based or similar)
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, Degree in Education or related field) are desirable but not essential
