Learning Support Assistant (SEMH / Behaviour Focus) – SEND Schools – Croydon
Are you passionate about supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?
We are seeking a committed and resilient Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work in specialist SEND schools across Croydon.
The Role:
- Supporting students with SEMH, behavioural challenges, and additional learning needs.
- Working 1:1 and in small groups to provide targeted support.
- Promoting positive behaviour and helping students develop coping strategies.
- Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and accessible lessons.
- Acting as a positive role model and providing emotional and pastoral support.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH, challenging behaviour or SEND.
- Calm, resilient and patient approach with strong behaviour management skills.
- Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with students.
- A valid Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply).
