Are you an experienced or aspiring SEN Teacher with a passion for supporting children with Autism?
Would you like to be part of a dedicated specialist team within a primary school setting?

A well-resourced and inclusive primary school in Lambeth is seeking a KS2 SEN Teacher to lead a small class within their on-site Autism Resource Base (ARB). The unit provides a calm, structured and nurturing environment for children with a primary diagnosis of Autism, some of whom may also have additional learning needs.

Role Highlights:

  • Full-time class teacher role within a specialist Autism Unit (KS2)
  • Teach a small group of pupils with high levels of TA support
  • Deliver a highly personalised curriculum based on pupils’ EHCPs
  • Implement strategies such as TEACCH, PECS, and sensory integration
  • Foster communication, independence and social development

Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) – primary trained
  • Has experience working with pupils with Autism (ASD) and complex needs
  • Understands specialist strategies to support communication and emotional regulation
  • Committed, patient, and enthusiastic about inclusive education
  • Able to lead a team of support staff and work closely with therapists and SENCOs
