Location: Southwark
Contract: Full time 
Salary: £120 – £150 per day 

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) with a specialism in Sports and Physical Education to join our school. This is an exciting opportunity to support teaching and learning while inspiring pupils to develop confidence, teamwork, and a love of physical activity.

The Role:

• Support teachers in delivering high-quality PE and sports lessons, as well as contributing to broader curriculum activities.
• Lead small groups or whole-class sessions in physical education, games, and fitness activities.
• Plan, prepare, and organise resources for PE and sports activities.
• Support pupils’ learning, personal development, and wellbeing.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment.
• Assist with assessment and reporting on pupil progress.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience working in primary education, ideally with a focus on PE or sports.
• Is passionate about encouraging physical activity, health, and wellbeing in children.
• Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Is flexible, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Holds HLTA status or is working towards HLTA accreditation (desirable).
