About the Role:

Pertemps Education is currently recruiting for a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to support a primary SEN school in Merton. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in special educational needs support within a structured and inclusive school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support teaching staff in delivering lessons and activities tailored to pupils’ individual needs.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support for children with SEN, including ASD and ADHD.
• Assist with behaviour management and encourage positive social interactions.
• Observe, monitor, and report on pupil progress to teachers and SEN team.
• Help prepare and adapt learning resources to meet the needs of the pupils.
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment.

Candidate Requirements:

• Recent graduate with a relevant degree (Education, Psychology, or related field preferred).
• Experience or interest in working with children with SEN is advantageous.
• Patient, empathetic, and adaptable, with strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently.
• Enthusiasm for supporting children’s learning and development.
