Pay Rate: £105 – £135 per day (dependent on experience)
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? We are seeking a committed and empathetic Behaviour Mentor to join a vibrant secondary school in Lewisham. In this vital role, you will support students with behavioural needs, helping them overcome challenges and succeed both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored one-to-one and small group mentoring to students displaying behavioural difficulties
- Collaborate with teachers and pastoral staff to create and implement effective behaviour support strategies
- Encourage positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and social skills development
- Track and report on student progress, sharing insights with staff, parents, and leadership
- Contribute to a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment
- Help reduce barriers to learning and improve student engagement and attendance
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience working with young people in education, mentoring, youth work, or similar settings
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong, trusting relationships
- A calm, resilient, and proactive attitude when faced with challenging behaviour
- A genuine passion for supporting young people and promoting their development
- Knowledge of behaviour management strategies is desirable
- A clear commitment to safeguarding and child protection
