Behaviour Mentor – Secondary School – Lewisham – Immediate Start

Position: Behaviour Mentor
Location: Lewisham
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Long-term, until the end of the academic year
Pay Rate: £105 – £135 per day (dependent on experience)

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? We are seeking a committed and empathetic Behaviour Mentor to join a vibrant secondary school in Lewisham. In this vital role, you will support students with behavioural needs, helping them overcome challenges and succeed both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored one-to-one and small group mentoring to students displaying behavioural difficulties
  • Collaborate with teachers and pastoral staff to create and implement effective behaviour support strategies
  • Encourage positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and social skills development
  • Track and report on student progress, sharing insights with staff, parents, and leadership
  • Contribute to a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment
  • Help reduce barriers to learning and improve student engagement and attendance

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience working with young people in education, mentoring, youth work, or similar settings
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong, trusting relationships
  • A calm, resilient, and proactive attitude when faced with challenging behaviour
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people and promoting their development
  • Knowledge of behaviour management strategies is desirable
  • A clear commitment to safeguarding and child protection
