You do not need to have worked in a SEMH environment before but have a sympathetic approach towards these students and an understanding of the type of work required in an Alternative Provision.
An Outstanding SEMH Alternative Provision based in Clacton are seeking a Permanent or Temporary Maths Teacher to work alongside either Key Stage 3 or 4 students from September 2021. Being from a Maths background is preferred but not essential but having a desire to work with SEMH pupils is the key.
As the Maths Teacher you will be responsible for developing and delivering an inspiring and engaging curriculum tailored to your students. You will also be committed to the school ethos of ensuring that the students are prepared for a life after education.
