Pertemps Education is recruiting for a Special Needs Teaching Assistant to work in the Wandsworth area of South West London. This is a full time temporary position, working from Monday to Friday during term time only. The successful Special Needs Teaching Assistant will be working with primary and secondary aged children, with a variety of special needs including ASD, ADHD and moderate learning difficulties. The hours of work are 8.30am to 4.00pm.
The school is located in a residential, leafy part of Wandsworth and is easily accessed by public transport. There is also both on and off street parking available. This is a large special needs school catering for a wide variety of needs. It is an outstanding school, with a strong and supportive leadership team. Regular school trips are taken during the week, including outdoor activity centres and trips to the local farm. The school itself has a bright and colourful feel with multi-sensory equipment across the board.
Within the role, some personal care is required, and the ideal SEN TA would have prior experience working in a special needs environment. This experience can be with adults or children.
