Pertemps are working with an outstanding Independant Special Needs school based near Southend, Essex. We have worked in partnership with the school for over half a decade, and are currently on the search for a formidable new member to add to their Specialist Classroom Support Team. The school caters for pupils between the ages of 10 and 16, with a variety of complex learning needs including Autism, ADHD, Global Delay, PMLD, and SEMH.
This fantastic provision of education utilises an entire range of educational professionals to work alongside their pupils, including Counsellors, Communication Specialist, Learning Mentors, Education Psychologists and Nurses! The range of learning and assistance provided for these pupils is given with the aim to; encourage developing ones fullest and greatest potential, to become and independant adult, and active member of their community relative to his/her own ability.

Our Ideal Candidate would:
- Have prior experience within SEN, or a relevant academic background (Childhood Studies, Psychology, SEN Studies, Criminology etc)
-Be available either immediately or in January 2022
-Own a DBS Enhanced Certificate
-Be able to provide two recent references prior to the christmas holidays
-Have resilience, consistency, and an empathatic nature towards those with learning & physical disabilities.
This is a full time position Monday to Friday, with typical school hours from 8:30am to 3:45pm. You will be given the opportunity to visit the school, or take on a paid trial day within the next few weeks. In Easter of 2022, you will have the chance to apply directly for the position, which will convert you from daily rate of pay to yearly salary. The starting daily rate of pay for this post is a premium rate of £83.50
