Job Details

Are you looking to take on a SEN Supporting role, as part of a team that you feel valued within and paid accurately for? Do you have an affinity and interest in dealing with Challenging Behaviour?

We are looking for three ideal candidates to take on an assistive function within a unique Independant SEN SEMH School near Leatherhead, Surrey. This school focuses on the use of therapuetic and behavior intervention for their pupils, who are aged between 11 and 16 displaying a range of complex and emotional needs.

The school is humble in size, averaging five to six pupils per class. This means that the school is bespoke, and approach each pupils truly as an individual within the SEN curriculum.

As a new school, we are building a strong team to drive the provision into the future, and create onlasting opportunities for all pupils as well as develop career pathways for candidates who want to build a new career at the provision (and overall Trust).

The provision reguarly utilises the resources of the local area, taking pupils on field trips, local events, and outdoor activities such as swimming and rock climbing. The school is soon to be building an entire Horticulture & Relaxation unit external to the school, and works closely with many of the local schools to reinforce diverisity and the mixing of those with different abilities and different outlooks.

The provisions ethos focuses on Teamwork, and keeping the pupils as the primary centre of development. The warm & approachable nature of the staff provides an understanding that not everyday can work out; and that we should always be prepared to expect a challenge even on the 'best' of days. If you feel like you want to work in a budding environment, be given accurate direction on a daily basis, feel valued at work, and manifest real change in the pupils you work with, this is a chance that should not go missed.

The role is Temp to Perm, starting on an incredible agency rate of £100 per day. £2000 per month before tax & NI etc. This will turn into an annual salary of 19-21k based on your qualificaiton and experience, after approxiamtely 12-16 weeks with agency. Full Time 8:30 to 3:30pm, with the ideal candidates being able to start ASAP. We are open to those who can only start in September.

Pertemps Ideal Candidate would:
- Have DBS Certification
- Confidence amongst challenging behaviour, autism, and dyslexia
- Have passion for Special Needs, a desire to help others in need.
- Be available before July to visit the school informally and interact with the Senior Leadership
- Start Full Time ASAP or in September 2022. Open to Part Time (3 day) applicants but Full Time prefered.
- We offer a No Interview process for this role, you will only need to meet with the school informally under a relaxed pretense, so we welcome all kinds of applicants from Graduates to Lead TA's.

Thank you, all the best, and look out for contact by our Specialist SEN Consultant Branden.
