A brand new Independant SEN School are looking for an Occupational Therapist opening! Are you an Occupational Therapist or ECT Occupational Therapist looking for unique opportunity in Outer (Greater) London?

This unique, exciting, and selective SEN School is an independent school for young adults with special needs aged 11-16 and are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join their distinct team of teachers and Education Professionals. 

The school offer academic and related external services for students with SEMH (Social Emotional Learning), autism, ADHD, dyslexia, learning disabilities and challenging behaviour to help them prepare for adulthood and develop true independence. Their team of highly trained teachers and specialists members of support work hard to ensure that everyone receives a personalised education and an enjoyable learning experience. 

As an Occupational Therapist in this school, you will treat and support disabled, ill or injured students with special equipment and the therapeutic use of daily activities and resources. As a special education needs setting, they would expect the most apprpopriate candidate to help their students improve, regain and develop the skills needed for day-to-day life. This is a fundemental value of the school, noticeable upon entry and after interacting even initially with the diversity of staff present. 

In the role of an Occupational Therapist, you will join the staff and students in underpinning their ethos of the school’s ‘Mission for all of students to reach their full potential and achieve greater independence, employment and further education', whereby each pupil is educated through various techniques, both formally and informally, to achieve their developmental milestones. 

You will be required to evidence your certification by the HCPC and to possess up-to-date knowledge of treatment practices and physical therapy programmes.

The Ideal Pertemps Candidate would:
