Are you a confident classroom supporter? Interested in working within Special Needs? Particularly those with complex learning difficulties or autism?
Pertemps are working with an outstanding Mainstream School (with SEN) based near Thurrock, Essex. We have worked in partnership with the school for over half a decade, and are currently on the search for a formidable new member to add to their Specialist Classroom Support Team. The school caters for pupils with a variety of learning needs for a small selection of pupils including Autism, ADHD, Global Delay, PMLD, and SEMH.
This provision of education utilises an entire range of educational professionals to work alongside their pupils, including Counsellors, Communication Specialist, Learning Mentors, Education Psychologists and Nurses! The range of learning and assistance provided for these pupils is given with the aim to; encourage developing ones fullest and greatest potential, to transition effectively into secondary education, and be an active member of their community relative to his/her own ability.
Upholding fundamental values of Courtesy & Respect, the school encourages every fresh face to interact with all members of the school community, to develop new relationships, treat one another with integrity, and ultimately understand that working as a team is the most effective way of providing a tailored & individualised style of learning.
Our Ideal Candidate would:
- Have prior experience within SEN, or a relevant academic background (However this isn’t essential)
-Be available full time
-Own a DBS Enhanced Certificate
This is a full time position Monday to Friday, with typical school hours from 8:30am to 3:45pm. You will be given the opportunity to visit the school, or take on a paid trial day within the next few weeks. In Summer of 2022, you will have the opportunity to be offered a salaried position - this will be based entirely on how you get on over this period.
The position is the ideal role for those who are looking to move into a more specialist area of mainstream education, or those with an eager willingness to learn following graduation, or learn more about the complex sides of learning difficulties. It is also a great chance to be part of a well-recognised Trust, as well as the Leadership of an excellent & passionate Head Teacher.
