Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant who has worked on a 1:1 basis with SEN pupils?
Pertemps Education are pleased to be working with a Good Primary Academy based in Thurrock. The school are currently seeking a Teaching Assistant who is able to work on a 1:1 basis with a pupil in Key Stage 2, to support a year 6 pupil with ADHD. The school are looking to interview people who already have experience in supporting students with similar SEN knowledge or keen to undertake.
The primary academy is a friendly, calm, and welcoming school, where pupils have a very positive attitude towards learning. The current headteacher has built a positive culture within the school and staff are supported well, permanent and contract staff. There are good relationships between staff, pupils and parents which makes for an inclusive environment. The school is currently meeting government floor standards and standards are consistently rising, especially in Key Stage 2.
The ideal 1:1 Teaching Assistant will be:
- Experienced in supporting ADHD (not essential)
- Able to start immediately and can commit for the rest of the academic year
- Able to work in the Thurrock area
- And warm and welcoming staff and pupils
- Good behaviour and pupils who are willing to learn in class
- Structured and tailored plans writing by the SENCO that you can follow
