SEN Teaching Assistant & 1:1 Support (Immediate)

Are you an experienced SEN Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, or Mentor? Are you currently looking to take on a full time or part time position as soon as possible? We want to hear from you as soon as possible. 

Pertemps Education are delighted to be working in partnership with two SEN Specialist Provisions based in Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds. Both schools are part of a larger Trust organisation that reaches over the entirety of Suffolk - this is an excellent opportunity for those looking to secure a full or part time position during such an unprecedented period of our lives! 

Both SEN Schools focus on the provisions of education for young learners between the ages of 11 and 18, with a SEN remit for Challenging Behaviour, SEMH (Social & Emotional Mental Health), Autism (ASD) and Complex Needs. 

The ideal candidate should have:

• Recent and relevant experience within a Supportive School position (SEN)
• Experience or confidence working 1:1 as an LSA or Mentor or Coach 
• Confidence managing Challenging Behaviour (SEMH) amongst a range of age groups
• DBS Enhanced Certification (Update Service)
• Ability to commute within Ipswich or Bury St Edmunds
• Availability to register with Pertemps ASAP
• Passion and commitment to providing a positive influence to young learners at mixed abililty. 
• Familiar with Residential Pupils (non essential)
