Are you a Psychology graduate, SEN Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or experienced support worker looking to build your career working with children and young people with additional needs?
An independent SEN school in Kingston upon Thames is seeking a caring, enthusiastic and resilient Learning Support Assistant to join its specialist team. Both full-time and part-time applicants will be considered.
The school supports pupils with a range of autism, speech and language needs, communication difficulties and additional learning needs, providing a highly individualised and supportive learning environment.
The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, therapists and other support staff to help pupils access learning, develop communication skills and build confidence and independence.

Previous experience working with children or young people with autism, communication difficulties, SEN or challenging behaviour would be advantageous, although applications from graduates with relevant academic backgrounds and a genuine interest in SEN are welcomed.
You will need to be patient, empathetic, resilient and confident working as part of a multidisciplinary team. Most importantly, you should have a genuine passion for supporting children and young people to achieve their potential.
