Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: MPS (ECT 1–2), in line with STPCD

About the Role We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Early Career Teacher of Spanish to join our supportive and ambitious secondary school in Southend-on-Sea from September. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified or soon-to-qualify teacher to begin their career within a vibrant and collaborative Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) department.
You will teach Spanish across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to contribute to Key Stage 5 depending on experience and departmental need. You will be supported to develop confident classroom practice and deliver an engaging curriculum that promotes linguistic competence, cultural awareness, and a love of languages.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold (or be on track to achieve) Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have strong subject knowledge in Spanish
  • Be passionate about language learning and cultural enrichment
  • Deliver engaging, communicative lessons with high expectations for all learners
  • Use assessment effectively to support progress in listening, speaking, reading, and writing
  • Be reflective, enthusiastic, and keen to develop professionally
  • Work collaboratively as part of a strong MFL team
