Job Title: SEN Teacher – KS2 Class
Location: Lambeth, London
Salary: MPS1 – MPS6 + SEN allowance 
Contract: Full-time, loing term

About the School:

Pertemps Education are recruiting on behalf of an inclusive and supportive primary school in Lambeth, with a specialist SEN base catering to pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and complex learning difficulties. The school is committed to providing a nurturing environment where every child can achieve their full potential.

The Role:

The school are seeking an experienced and passionate SEN Teacher to lead a Key Stage 2 class within our SEN base. The successful candidate will plan and deliver a personalised curriculum, monitor pupil progress, and work closely with support staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure that every child receives the support they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and adapt lessons to meet the individual needs of KS2 pupils with SEN.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing detailed reports and feedback.
  • Lead and manage classroom support staff effectively.
  • Develop and implement personalised learning plans and strategies.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with parents, carers, and external professionals to support pupil development.

Person Specification:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) with experience teaching Key Stage 2.
  • Experience working with pupils with SEN, ideally in a specialist base.
  • Strong understanding of differentiated teaching and behaviour management strategies.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
  • Passionate about supporting children with additional needs to reach their potential.
