School Cleaner

School Cleaner – Bethnal Green Primary School – Immediate Start 
Pertemps Education is working in partnership with a friendly and welcoming primary school in Bethnal Green to recruit an experienced and reliable Cleaner for an immediate start. 
This is a vital role in maintaining a safe, hygienic, and well-presented school environment for pupils and staff. The successful candidate must have experience using cleaning chemicals in a professional setting and hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service. 
 
Location: Bethnal Green 
Start Date: Immediate 
Working Hours: 3:00pm – 6:00pm (Monday to Friday) 
Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience) 
 
About the Role: 

• Carry out daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, hoovering, and sanitising surfaces 

• Clean classrooms, corridors, toilets, staffrooms, and communal areas to a high standard 

• Safely use and store cleaning chemicals in accordance with COSHH guidelines 

• Follow all school health and safety and safeguarding procedures 

• Report any maintenance issues or supply shortages to the Site Manager 

• Ensure areas are cleaned thoroughly and ready for the next school day 

 
The Ideal Candidate Will: 

• Have previous cleaning experience, preferably in a school or public building 

• Be confident using chemical cleaning agents and follow safe handling practices 

• Hold a valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service – this is essential 

• Be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with attention to detail 

• Understand the importance of maintaining a clean and safe environment for children 

• Be a team player who takes pride in their work
